Saint Vitus on Sat Jan 28!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 18, 2012 by grnb

Happy new year my friends.  Chris, Geoff, Jordan and I will be rocking Saint Vitus on Sat Jan 28 right before LIVE BAND KARAOKE with Infinity Spaceship.  You don’t want to miss this!  In other news, I’ve been laying low, planning my next move, buying ridiculously awesome guitars, getting into / staying out of trouble with my new partner in crime, slowly finishing up new songs for another new project with Liam and Geoff a la Dinosaur Jr, Spoon, Neil Young, Elliott Smith, and The Beatles (finally).  Hoping to record another GRNB single fairly soon and to finally get to bring the band to the DC and New England areas.  Stay tuned!  But for now, here’s a clip of me playing Lost Time at the NY Songwriter’s Circle last month:

Charleston tonight, Midwest Tour in a week!

Posted in News on August 20, 2011 by grnb

Hey all, hope you’ve been having a good summer.  I’ve been busy playing weddings, booking shows, traveling, and trying to enjoy what’s left of the season.  I’m playing a last minute show tonight at the Charleston and then next week I’m heading out on a solo acoustic Midwest tour!  Details are on my upcoming shows page.  I’m still looking for a show on Tue Aug 30 anywhere in IN, OH, or KY so if you have a lead please get in touch.  Thanks so much to everyone that has been helping me put this together!

Summer begins

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates here. The FL shows were really fun. Thanks to Matt, Tierney, and Patrick for learning the songs and playing the shows. Thanks to Tierney for booking and driving as well. That all needs to happen more often in the future.

I’ve been putting together some shows for this summer including dates with Sleep Bellum Sono, Strike Anywhere, Scarce, Jeff Rowe, and others! I’m still booking so if you’d like to book me solo acoustic, duo acoustic, or with the full band please get in touch (ghostrobotninjabear at gmail dot com). Should be good times.

Well, after a great gig in Miami with DLCB I had a crazy time getting to Orlando. Got stuck at MIA for many hours, saw a passenger get thrown off a plane, flew to Tampa because the mechanic couldn’t fix our original plane, then had to take a shuttle van to Orlando. Brutal and strange.

But then Matt picked me up and now I’m at Tierney’s. Times are now good!

Rehearsing with those two plus Patrick soon then we’re playing Common Grounds in Gainesville tonight and Will’s Pub here in Orlando tomorrow. Please come if you’re in the area!

And by the way, the record release show at Matchless was great! Thanks to all the bands, my musicians, Matchless staff, and our friends. Talk soon!

I’ll write a more in-depth tour review later on but for now I’ll just say that it was pretty life-changing/affirming.  I wish we were still going.  Thanks to all the promoters, venues, bands, crashpad hosts, and everyone that came by to listen and hang out.  Big thanks and love to Aaron and TJ!

Homecoming show tonight at Session 73, 7:45pm, with my buds Ed Romanoff and Cooper.  See you there!

We crushed SXSW / leaving for West Coast today!

Posted in News on March 21, 2011 by grnb

SXSW was unreal.  Beatles on Uke gig was really fun (thanks to Roger and Linda!).  Live Band Karaoke was like being in Queens of the Stone Age for an hour and a half (thanks to Brian, Miso Music, and the Purevolume House).  The Ghost Robot Ninja Bear show reminded me of some of the best DIY basement shows I’d ever attended (thanks to Chris, Jordan, Wildstreet, Twin Killers, James Taylor, and Jeff Meyers).  Hanging with the Brooklyn crew all week was amazing.  Thank you!

Leaving for the West Coast for my solo acoustic tour with Attica! Attica! in a few hours, check out the upcoming shows page for more details!

And thanks to everyone who’s been downloading the new records and donating, it’s so appreciated!
